United Concrete Products is looking for an experienced Purchasing & Inventory Manager to lead procurement and inventory operations at our precast concrete manufacturing facility. If you're skilled at negotiating with vendors, optimizing stock levels, and leading a team in a fast-paced industrial environment, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do- Source and purchase raw materials (rebar, wire mesh, admixtures) and production supplies
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors to control costs
- Manage inventory levels for raw materials, tools, and finished goods
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories; resolve discrepancies
- Supervise and develop a team of buyers and inventory staff
- Partner with Production and Logistics to keep materials flowing on schedule
- Track vendor performance and identify cost-saving opportunities
RequirementsWhat You Bring- 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management
- 3+ years in a supervisory or management role
- Experience with ERP/inventory software
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools
Nice to Have- Experience in precast concrete, ready-mix, or construction materials manufacturing
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle/fleet parts procurement
