Your role

As a Sales Engineer at our Houston location, you will be instrumental in expanding our market presence by applying your technical knowledge alongside sales acumen. Reporting directly to the Texas Sales Manager, your collaborative work with engineering and product teams will ensure tailored solutions meet client needs effectively, fostering long-term customer relationships and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Managing a dynamic sales territory with a focus on both new client acquisition and sustained growth within existing accounts through regular customer engagements.
  • Conducting compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations to articulate product advantages and foster customer confidence.
  • Collaborating closely with inside sales teams for precise product sizing, quoting, and negotiation of payment terms to streamline the sales process.
  • Maintaining sales forecasts and customer data to ensure transparency and accuracy.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts impacting customer requirements and business strategy.


Your day-to-day

  • Engage proactively with both new prospects and existing customers through in-person meetings and virtual interactions, adapting communication styles to diverse client environments.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to recommend tailored pump solutions, maximizing operational efficiency and customer ROI.
  • Deliver detailed sales presentations and hands-on demonstrations that showcase product capabilities and technical innovations.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans, focusing on sustained growth, market penetration, and customer loyalty within your assigned territory.
  • Leverage expert technical knowledge to resolve complex customer challenges and ensure seamless implementation of sales strategies.


Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, providing a robust foundation for technical sales excellence.
  • Minimum of three years successful outside sales experience complemented by direct exposure to plant operations and technical environments.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop trust and rapport with diverse customer and purchasing contacts.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and self-directed decision-making.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills ensuring clear, concise, and professional interactions internally and externally.
