Harborview Medical Center Department of Public Safety has an outstanding opportunity for a Public Safety Threat Manager.

WORK SCHEDULE
  • 100% FTE
  • Day Shift
  • Availability for on-call response to high-risk incidents and emergent threats


POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

The Public Safety Threat Manager position strengthens Harborview Medical Center's ability to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate threats before they escalate into violence. The role supports Harborview's mission as Washington's premier Level I trauma center by enhancing workforce safety, regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and the overall security of patients, visitors, staff, and faculty.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead Harborview's Public Safety Threat Management Program and coordinate all threat assessment activities
  • Serve as chair or co-chair of Harborview's multidisciplinary Threat Management Team (TMT)
  • Support compliance with Washington State workplace violence laws, including RCW 49.19
  • Collect, analyze, and disseminate threat intelligence from internal and external sources
  • Conduct risk assessments for hospital executives, board members, and high-profile visitors
  • Develop and deliver training programs
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and standards


REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, emergency management, psychology, behavioral sciences, public administration, healthcare administration, or related field
  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in one or more of the following: Healthcare Public Safety; Law Enforcement; Threat Assessment; Protective Services; Emergency Management; or Workplace Violence Prevention
  • Three (3) years of leadership or program management experience
  • Experience conducting investigations and managing sensitive cases
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations and hospital regulatory requirements


Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Pay Range Minimum:
$95,004.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:
$110,004.00 annual
