Full Job Description
This role will focus on engaging influential policy stakeholders across the political spectrum at the national and state level. They will develop relationships with new organizations on behalf of the company and activate them around our policy and public affairs goals. They will also support the energy and infrastructure campaign in developing and executing a stakeholder engagement strategy that leverages existing partners across these complex policy areas. They will lead in coordinating across US Policy on energy and infrastructure policy issues from a campaign management perspective, ensuring rapid communication, monitoring developments, and upkeep of campaign documents. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, creative, get-things-done professional who can function independently in a fast-moving environment, and rapidly earn credibility and trust with external partners, as well as within an organization. They will also have a demonstrated interest and knowledge of government, economic development, and technology.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular civil society landscape analyses to a) identify new third party stakeholders with policy expertise and / or political influence and b) surface information on existing stakeholders' interest in these topics for the broader team to leverage in their relationship management
• Develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders on behalf of the company
• Activate stakeholders to amplify our key public affairs narratives and advocate on behalf of our preferred policy positions
• Shape stakeholder commentary (ie, op-eds, testimony, white papers, public events, etc) to further business goals
• Track and amplify helpful stakeholder commentary by working with internal XFN teams to share across policymakers and the media
• Support the broader team in developing and executing infra/energy stakeholder engagement tactics (policy briefings, data center tours, etc.)
• Support Federal Policy in ensuring coordination and communication across the energy and infrastructure campaign on company and public policy development
• Represent External Affairs and, as needed, US Public Policy, in cross-functional meetings on energy policy
• Support document and talking points development for US Public Policy and External Affairs, in coordination with the Economics team

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in political science, policy, law, business or related field
• 5+ years of experience with government relations, political campaigns, and/or stakeholder management
• Event management experience
• Experience executing cross-functional policy campaigns

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience articulating policies and their reasoning to various audiences effectively
• Experience managing a budget
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Experience managing internal and external relations
• Experience communicating policy positions to diverse stakeholders, including government officials, advocacy organizations, and internal teams
