Position Title: Public Finance Banker (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $120,000-$180,000 / Year, DOE + Bonus Potential
We are seeking a Public Finance Banker to join our growing municipal finance team. This role will support the origination and execution of public finance transactions, including developing RFPs and presentations, analyzing municipal credits, structuring financing solutions, and working alongside senior bankers to strengthen relationships with issuers. This is a high-impact opportunity for a municipal finance professional who wants meaningful exposure to senior leadership, sophisticated transactions and significant long-term earning potential.
The ideal candidate has 2-3+ years of municipal public finance banking experience, a strong understanding of bond math and municipal credit, and the drive to contribute ideas rather than simply execute tasks. They are collaborative, intellectually curious, highly accountable, and willing to roll up their sleeves to help the team win.
Responsibilities - Support senior bankers throughout the development and execution of municipal finance transactions
- Prepare RFP responses, client presentations, pitch materials, and other transaction-related documentation
- Analyze municipal credits and develop financing structures tailored to issuer needs
- Apply strong bond math and public finance knowledge to evaluate financing alternatives and opportunities
- Develop creative financing ideas and contribute meaningful recommendations during deal discussions
- Support the origination and maintenance of relationships with municipalities, issuers, and other public finance clients
- Utilize Bloomberg, DBC, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other financial tools to conduct analysis and prepare client deliverables
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership and regional bankers to identify opportunities and drive revenue growth
Requirements - 2-3+ years of experience in municipal public finance banking
- Bachelor's degree required
- Strong understanding of municipal finance, bond math, and credit analysis
- Knowledge of New York municipal issuers and credits as well as credits outside the New York market
- Series 7, 52, 53 and 24 licenses or equivalent applicable licensing
- Bloomberg experience required
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
- Experience with municipal finance structuring software such as DBC strongly valued
- Demonstrated career stability and commitment to developing within an organization
- Strong analytical, presentation and communication skills
