Absolute Business Solutions Corp (ABSC) is seeking a Public Affairs Specialist (Level II) to support communications and public affairs initiatives for government clients. This role supports the development and execution of communication strategies that enhance mission visibility, stakeholder engagement, and organizational messaging across multiple platforms.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with experience in public affairs or public relations, capable of producing high-quality written content and supporting digital, internal, and external communications efforts in a fast-paced federal environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support development and execution of communications plans aligned with mission objectives
  • Create content across multiple mediums, including:
    • Articles and press releases
    • Fact sheets and briefing materials
    • Executive correspondence and messaging
    • Speech writing support
  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce visual and multimedia communications products
  • Serve as a peer reviewer of communications materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency
  • Plan and coordinate public affairs events, communications activities, and outreach efforts
  • Support initiatives that strengthen relationships between the organization and the public
  • Provide analysis, recommendations, and implementation support across public affairs functions, including:
    • Digital media
    • Executive communications
    • Internal/command information communications
    • Research and analysis
  • Develop and manage content across digital and social media platforms, including performance tracking
  • Utilize tools such as SharePoint, PowerPoint and related platforms to support communications delivery
  • Track and manage communications taskers and deliverables
  • Work effectively under pressure to meet short suspense deadlines

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in public affairs, public relations, or a related field
    • OR 10 years of relevant military service in a related field
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing communications products
  • Proven ability to write and publish materials such as press releases, articles, and official communications
  • Experience supporting digital and social media communications efforts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • DINFOS accreditation or similar certification
  • Portfolio of published communications products
  • Experience supportingDoD, Army, or Intelligence Community organizations
  • Familiarity with tools such as:
    • Adobe Creative Suite
    • Canva or similar platforms
  • Experience supporting public affairs campaigns, events, or outreach initiatives
  • Familiarity with communications analytics tools

Salary is commensurate with experience. An approxmate salary range for this requisition is: $75-120k. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
