  • Facilitate internal training sessions and participate in interdisciplinary case discussions.
  • Help evaluate program outcomes on both provincial and national levels.

Full Job Description
Position Title: Psychologist - Registered Clinical Psychologist - Clinical Psychologist

Location: FIT for Work - Corner Brook - 8 Gullage Avenue, Corner Brook, NL, A2H 7J4

Status: Full Time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Location type: Hybrid with presence in Corner Brook or St. John's or if located in NL, or Fully Remote

Experience: 1 to 3 yrs working with adult populations on Return to Work is preferred

You will find purpose in this role by:
  • Bringing your unique assessment competencies to a range of applications, from pre-employment suitability assessments for high-risk occupations to diagnostic assessments to guide treatment and psychosocial resource building
  • Delivering individual and group treatment for conditions including anxiety, trauma, depression, somatic complaints, substance misuse, adjustment and interpersonal issues within the person's psychosocial context
  • Consulting with other mental health service team members and clinical interdisciplinary teams
  • Leveraging novel approaches to the delivery of mental health services, including adjunct digital therapeutics
  • Contributing to in-house training sessions and interdisciplinary case discussions
  • Contributing to program outcome evaluations at the provincial and national level

Education and licensure
  • Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology (Clinical, Health, Rehabilitation or Counselling)
  • Current registration in good standing with the Newfoundland and Labrador Psychology Board
  • Individual professional liability insurance required at time of employment
  • Trauma training required
  • Training/certifications with CBT, CPT, DBT, ACT, EMDR or Prolonged Exposure and/or other evidence-based treatments highly desired

Applied experience
  • At least 1 to 3 yrs. of clinical experience working with adult populations on return-to-work is preferred
  • Conducting psychological assessments with adults for various goals, including treatment planning
