Position Summary
Lower Bucks Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist to join our hospital-employed Behavioral Health team. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary hospital setting while being supported by the stability and resources of one of the nation’s leading healthcare systems.

Schedule
- Full-time hospital-based schedule
- On-call responsibilities: [To be defined based on coverage model]
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for patients
- Manage psychiatric conditions through evidence-based medication management and treatment planning
- Deliver care in an inpatient and/or consult-liaison setting (based on program needs)
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff, social workers, therapists, hospitalists, and case management
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Comply with hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, and all state and federal regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities
- Participate in on-call coverage as required
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN)
- Active Pennsylvania medical license or ability to obtain
- DEA license or eligibility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital-based, team-oriented environment
