Riverview Behavioral Health is a 62-bed inpatient hospital treating individuals suffering from a mental health primary diagnosis from ages twelve and up. Our treatment center is located in Texarkana, AR serving the greater southwest Arkansas region.

We are currently seeking to add a
Full-Time, Inpatient Psychiatrist to our skilled and patient focused team. This role will see both Adults, and Child & Adolescent patients.
About the role:Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.
Responsibilities- Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
- Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
- Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
- Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
- Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
- Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
- Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
Qualifications- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
- One or more years' post graduate degree practice preferred.
- Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
Licenses/Certifications:- Board certification in psychiatry
- Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
