Main Purpose of Job

This position provides the full performance level of clinical psychiatric services to adolescents, suffering from serious emotional behavioral health care issues. Psychiatric treatment, including psychiatric evaluations, psychopharmacology and supervision of clinical team is provided in a 24/7 facility, RICA-Baltimore, by licensed and board certified psychiatrists.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Physicians under the licensing requirements for Physicians.

Experience: As required for certification in Psychiatry by the American Medical Association Specialty Board or other Board approved by the Maryland Board of Physicians.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess board certification in Child Psychiatry.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

1. Applicants for this classification must be board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Medical Specialties or other Board approved by the Maryland Board of Physicians.

2. Applicants for this classification must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians to practice medicine under Maryland State Law. A copy of a current Maryland medical license and board certification should be attached to the application.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees in this classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.
