Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to serve in a senior clinical leadership role supporting and mentoring our network of psychiatric providers across New York and New Jersey. This role combines clinical expertise, provider training, and leadership, offering the opportunity to travel, build strong professional relationships, and directly impact the success of PMHNPs in nursing home and long-term care settings.

Requirements
  • Interview, evaluate, manage, and train Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs).
  • Provide clinical and administrative mentorship to PMHNPs under your supervision.
  • Train and mentor PMHNPs in core clinical duties, including:
    • Conducting psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
    • Prescribing and managing psychotropic medications.
    • Collaborating with facility staff and patients' family members.
    • Delivering compassionate, trauma-informed care.
    • Documenting care in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Travel extensively throughout NY and NJ to support providers on-site.
  • Support high-quality psychiatric care delivery in nursing home and long-term care settings.
  • Partner with leadership to maintain consistent workflows and clinical best practices.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and clinical excellence.


Qualifications

  • Active PMHNP license in New York (New Jersey preferred or willingness to obtain).
