Overview

Exciting opportunity available for an experienced, energetic and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team. The PMHNP will provide comprehensive psychiatric consulting and treatment necessary for the promotion of optimal mental health and wellness at our outpatient adult and school-based clinics located in Stamford and Greenwich, CT.

The Role

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment and medication management services for clients throughout the lifespan but with a focus on children and adolescents.

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will also be a resource to Family Centers staff. As a resource to staff, they will participate in integrated health meetings to discuss challenging topics and treatment planning with an interdisciplinary team. These consultations may focus upon diagnostic clarification and/or treatment planning.

This position offers a flexible full-time schedule with an opportunity for a hybrid work week. Supervision and support provided weekly with the Family Centers Psychiatrist and administrative support provided by program directors. Client support staff maintain psychiatric schedule and appointments.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program
  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification
  • An unrestricted RN and APRN license (or license eligibility) in Connecticut
  • State of Connecticut controlled substance registration and DEA licenses
  • Experience working with children and adolescents
  • Medical malpractice insurance in addition to that offered by the agency
