Title:
PSL Business Excellence Manager, Refining & Petrochemicals

The PSL Business Excellence Manager, Refining & Petro Chemicals is responsible for analysis and communication of Product Service Line business, working closely with Product Service Line (PSL) leads for portfolio analysis and planning. Ensure product lines and market intel by working with PSL Technology Managers, Sales and Marketing to align and evaluate portfolio enhancements and growth with short-, medium- and long-term plans. Integrating relationships between the PSL, other PSLs and functions to ensure success in meeting business goals and objectives. Work to track and resolve PSL commercial, technical, and operational issues.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Acting as a liaison for the PSL, tracks, calculates, communicates and/or presents on technical and commercial matters while interfacing with a broad range of internal & external stakeholders and third parties to deliver unique insights into the businesses and provide timely and actionable intelligence to the PSL, while managing and driving KBR internal processes across functions and regions.
  • Identifies and facilitates resolution of operational issues.
  • Responsible for leading core initiatives of Technology Solutions PSL strategic vision. Key aspects of the role include:
    • Develop and communicate the PSL's view of global markets (product supply/demand), competitors, and peers both internally and externally.
    • In conjunction with New Ventures, work to Identify, develop, and secure inorganic growth opportunities via alliances and partnerships Identify and quantify acquisition opportunities, providing the PSL with guidance in planning and achieving strategic targets.
    • Development of 5-year plan for growth across the PSL and alignment with the other Technology led PSL's.
  • Market Approach: In conjunction with M&A and New Ventures team, guide the PSL's analysis of core, adjacent, and new KBR markets by looking for trends and identifying the underlying factors that drive those trends. Facilitate closing any gaps in information. From the analysis, develop the engagement strategy for each market by interfacing with relevant stakeholders.
  • Competitor Trending: Based on market trends and movements, provide guidance on how competitors are positioned at the macro level to relevant stakeholders across all STS business lines.
  • Acquisitions, Alliances & Partnerships: work with M&A and New Ventures, support the identification, evaluation, and engagement of potential acquisitions alliances and partnerships to secure inorganic growth opportunities. Drive PSL level support for engagements including interfacing with the relevant business partners to facilitate KBR internal processes through close relationships.
  • Compliance: Maintains full compliance with KBR code of business conduct. Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all governmental regulations and corporate safety guidelines. Proactively directs continuous improvement efforts in the areas of risk reduction and the elimination of potential hazards.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline. (i.e. Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.)
  • 10+ years total experience to include at least 5 years of experience in technology licensing, business operations, and/or strategy, and M&A in the hydrocarbon, energy, and energy transition industries.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and communication skills, with required experience in financial analysis and strategic marketing
  • Experience in dealing with commercial contracts covering Alliance Agreements, Joint Development Agreements as well as License, Engineering & Guarantee Agreements.
  • Offerings Knowledge: Possesses knowledge and experience in relevant process technologies for the PSL or related technical offerings.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Soft skills in facilitating, influencing and innovative problem solving are critical.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • MBA strongly preferred


Special Requirements
  • Working in office three (3) days per week.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
