Overview Job Responsibilities
• Serves as a clinical resource, mentor, and role model to APP colleagues.
• Develops a plan of care within scope of practice utilizing written protocols to ensure quality patient care.
• Uses prescriptive authority, procedures, referrals, treatments, and theories in accordance with state/federal laws and regulations.
• Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Provides clinical leadership.
• Supports life long learning.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Responsible for generating and communicating on-call schedule.
• Participates in project initiatives and regular meetings related to area of practice.
• Serves as a liaison between physicians, staff, and administration.
Experience- Minimum Required
2 years clinical experience functioning in the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner First Assist role.
Education
Minimum Required
A graduate of an accredited physician assistant training program and has successfully completed the examination of the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants or a graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program.
Special Skills
Computer literate.
Licensure
Minimum Required
Current license by the state they practice. Eligible for or have certificate of fitness/prescription privileges.
-BLS within 14 days of hire.
