Full Job Description
The Prospect Development Analyst coordinates aspects of data entry, relationship management, and hygiene for the Justice Partners - Midlevel Giving team's growing portfolios. This position works closely with frontline gift officers to help them execute on donor strategies, activities, and solicitations for donors in their portfolios. This position works both in an administrative capacity to ensure timely and accurate data entry of strategic donor activities and strategic capacity to monitor, report out, and provide insights to help the team achieve its fundraising goals and performance metrics. The Analyst leads the Justice Partners (Midlevel Giving) Team's Moves Management process by scheduling and facilitating quarterly portfolio meetings, top prospect reviews, pipeline management, donor strategy sessions, annual budgeting, and the annual goal-setting processes.

This is a non-supervisory position.

The Analyst is expected to work a full-time (37.5 hours/week) schedule, and may work hybrid or remote from the following locations: San Francisco, New York, Atlanta or Remote U.S.
What You'll Do

Portfolio Management (40%)
  • Lead portfolio management for the Justice Partners team, including monthly tactical meetings, as well as planning and facilitating quarterly portfolio review meetings, preparing agendas and materials, and coordinating and executing follow-up actions to drive donor movement and revenue growth.
  • Partner with gift officers to develop, refine, and track donor strategies, cultivation plans, and engagement activities, ensuring adherence to moves management best practices and a consistent, high-quality donor experience.
  • Monitor and report on portfolio performance by managing budgets, tracking giving and solicitation activity, supporting annual goal setting, and sharing progress and insights with leadership and frontline fundraisers.

Prospect Development Systems (20%)
  • Manage prospect pipeline activity in collaboration with Prospect Development colleagues, including prospect referral, assignment, tracking, and portfolio integrity for the Justice Partners team.
  • Ensure high standards of data quality and system use by maintaining accurate and complete donor records, supporting data hygiene initiatives, and ensuring compliance with departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Development Operations and fundraising teams to strengthen prospect development workflows, reporting, and communications, including supporting the transition to a new CRM in FY27-FY28.

Prospect Research (20%)
  • Conduct proactive and responsive midlevel prospect identification and research by analyzing biographic, financial, philanthropic, and news-based information to identify individuals with the capacity and inclination to make midlevel gifts.
  • Prepare clear, concise prospect profiles and briefings to support strategy meetings, donor visits, events, and solicitations, translating research into actionable insights for midlevel gift officers; ensure research data is recorded in the database and other record keeping systems.
  • Collaborate with midlevel gift officers and development staff to support qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies, contributing prospect insights in meetings and managing associated research and administrative tasks.

Data Entry & Integrity for Justice Partners/Midlevel Gifts Team (15%)
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of donor engagement data in the CRM, including plans, solicitations, opportunities, contact reports, prospect research, ratings, and related activity to support fundraising strategy and reporting; and contribute to teamwide initiatives in this area as needed.
  • Support donor budgeting and revenue forecasting by partnering with the Justice Partners team to develop fiscal year budgets and ensure accurate entry and tracking of budget and giving data.
  • Improve data management systems and processes by identifying efficiency-building tools and collaborating with wider Prospect Development team and Development Operations to implement and refine departmental data management practices.

Salaries at Earthjustice are determined by working location and are commensurate with the experience required.

The annual salary range for this role in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY is $84,200 - $93,600.

The annual salary range for this role in Seattle, WA, Los Angeles, CA, Chicago, IL, or Washington, DC is $80,100 - $89,000.

The annual salary range for this role in Denver, CO or Philadelphia, PA: $75,900 - $84,300.

The annual salary range for this role in Atlanta, GA or Houston, TX is $71,600 - $79,600.
