Proposal Engineer will be part of the New Generation Power Projects Proposals team and collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to develop Ovation-based solutions for New Generation Power Projects across North America. Emerson's six decades of power and water expertise embedded in the Ovation distributed control system (DCS) form a reliable, innovative platform that evolves with rapidly changing technology to improve plant reliability.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:- Prepare DCS proposals for new generation power projects in response to customer requests.
- Perform review of customer specifications and confirm compliance.
- Collaborate across teams to validate technical feasibility, engineering requirements, and cost-effective solutions.
- Engage directly with customers to communicate Emerson's capabilities and understand application needs.
- Develop optimal project cost structures that mitigate technical risk and strengthen competitive positioning.
- Partner effectively with sales, engineering, project teams, and global offices as needed to deliver cohesive proposal packages.

For This Role, You Will Need:- BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with controls and automation (DCS/PLC/SCADA) systems.
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge in proposal development, cost estimating, project management, or project engineering.
- Experience with the Ovation DCS platform.
- Experience preparing technical compliance clarifications and exceptions.
- Experience working across a variety of groups in a large organization.
- Demonstrate the need to know the latest on new technologies and make learning a priority.
