Full Job Description
Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP, a leading AM LAW 100 firm, is seeking a dynamic Proposal Manager to join its firm-wide Pursuits Team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Development, this role offers the opportunity to drive strategic proposal initiatives and support business development efforts across our national practice.

Location: Atlanta, Charlotte, Charleston, or Phoenix (hybrid work arrangements available)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead cross-functional teams including attorneys and marketing professionals to develop compelling, high-quality proposals and RFP responses
  • Manage multiple concurrent proposal processes with varying deadlines and complexity levels
  • Coordinate proposal strategy sessions and ensure alignment with firm objectives
  • Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for client pitches and finalist interviews
  • Develop presentation materials, talking points, and Q&A preparation documents
  • Coordinate pitch rehearsals and provide strategic guidance on presentation approach
  • Research client backgrounds, decision-makers, and competitive landscape to inform pitch strategy
  • Create, write, and maintain marketing content in our centralized repository, including firm descriptions, practice area summaries, attorney biographies, and experience records
  • Partner with our Creative Team to develop and refresh marketing collateral, including brochures, pitch materials, and digital assets
  • Develop and manage "best of" content libraries and templates that showcase our firm's unique value proposition
  • Track and analyze proposal metrics, including win/loss ratios and competitive intelligence
  • Conduct post-pitch analysis and gather client feedback to continuously improve our approach
  • Perform comprehensive research on clients, prospects, industry trends, and competitors
  • Lead implementation and optimization of AI-enhanced proposal management systems and workflows
  • Explore and evaluate emerging AI technologies to improve proposal efficiency, quality, and strategic insights
  • Manage cross-functional projects including Mansfield Rule reporting, panel counsel tracking, and client permission management
  • Maintain and enhance content of our experience database and knowledge management systems


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of experience in proposal management, preferably within a global law firm or professional services organization
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Exceptional project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail and grammar
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively across all organizational levels
  • Experience with Foundation, QorusDocs, or similar proposal management platforms
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word Styles and SharePoint
  • Knowledge of legal industry trends and competitive landscape
  • Experience with CRM systems and data analysis tools
