S³ Inc. has an immediate opening for a Proposal Manager to join the Proposal and Publications team at our corporate HQ in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, AL.

This is not a teleworking position.

Position Description:

The Proposal Manager will coordinate and produce the proposal (RFI, PPQ, ITT, RFP, etc.) response whilst assembling a proposal team that has the skills to prepare and submit winning proposals. They will introduce and implement all necessary proposal procedures and governance. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing the cradle to grave workload of subordinate Coordinators who support the preparation of contract and Task Order proposals.
• Develop the proposal outline, the RFP guidelines, coordinate the data calls, complete drafts, conduct proposal color reviews, and, prepare and manage proposal color reviews and recovery.
• Solidifies teaming arrangements, kick-off meetings, following the Shipley Method.
• Provide training and professional development to subordinate personnel and provide performance input for employee evaluations to the Publications Manager.
• Ensure top quality assistance to our business entities for task order proposal development, document preparation, and proofing.
• Support internal publications work order management, including the population and maintenance of the publications database for sample proposals, past performance, skills tracking, capture plans, and other business development tools and documents.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 9 years of directly related (above) experience with at least 6 years of experience in performing similar management roles for the US Government, the Military, or a DoW contractor company.
  • Must have led a minimum of two major non-contract vehicle or on-ramp proposals with a value of at least $100M, or, ten task orders of equivalent proposals.
  • Active DoW secret security clearance.
