Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director, Business Development the Proposal Associate is responsible for preparing accurate, thorough and strategic responses to existing client Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs). The Proposal Associate also supports Business Development strategies and communication materials by assisting with responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and related collateral, such as Executive Summaries. Engaging with relevant stakeholders, the Proposal Development Lead will deliver timely and accurate and compelling content across the various

Responsibilities:
• Researches, writes, edits, proofreads, and provides direction on responses to questionnaires, while adhering to internal procedures and audit controls.
• Engages with internal resources to manage project timelines to ensure questionnaire requirements are met and materials are submitted on schedule.
• Proactive project management of assigned duties in the preparation of responses to questionnaires and related collateral through discussions with subject matter experts.
• Assist senior team members with responses to RFIs and RFPs, as required.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization in order to seek out and promote compelling content for proposal responses within each of our business segments.
• Facilitate responses to questionnaires using a Content Management System workflow tool and library, Loopio.
• Enhance the written content by grasping the intended meaning of specific technical and operational concepts through attending related meetings and by interpreting raw proposal material to ensure its accuracy and relevancy.

Qualifications:
• University education or equivalent formal post-secondary education with a degree in Business, Communications, English, or other writing-intensive discipline.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience within financial services in a corporate communications, employee communications, or business support communications
• Exceptional command of the English language, including previous experience in a role with heavy emphasis on writing/editing.
• Strong oral communication and presentation skills.
• Personal initiative, ability to manage competing timelines/stakeholders with a strong sense of urgency, and ability to adapt to a changing and demanding environment.
• Previous experience consulting with individuals at various levels, including senior leaders.
• Strong understanding of good communications practices.
• CSC or financial industry course is an asset.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to communicate in French is an asset

Job Specific Competencies:

- The salary band for this position ranges between $70,000 - $110,000.
