Job OverviewThe Property Officer performs a variety of property management and audit duties. These duties utilize an understanding of storage planning, coordinating, and inventorying property that has been received, shipped, excessed, moved or transferred. The Property Officer will coordinate the material handling processes for shipping, receiving, storage and disposition of property in accordance with government regulations. Activities involve performing verification, data entering and inventorying assignments.
Pay Rate: $39.89/Hourly ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Duties:- Account for Contractor-Acquired, Contractor-Owned, Leased, and Government-Furnished property.
- Account for property received, shipped, excessed, moved or transferred adhering to Chugach asset management program.
- Maintain the property system of record by performing data entry for property received, transferred, lost, destroyed or excessed.
- Reconcile physical asset attributes against the property system of record and update asset records.
- Assist in the development of property management processes for shipping, receiving, storage and disposition of property.
- Provide annual inventory reports in accordance with Company guidelines and customer reports.
- Perform property audit, reconciliation, and advise corrective actions periodically or as directed.
- Coordinate the collection of data for Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) report submission.
- Input data into the Material Distribution and Tracking (MDAT) System.
- Inventory and organize property using data collection methods in accordance with legal and accountability requirements established by the FAR and USG.
- Comprehends and completes property documents following Contract and Government guidelines.
- Understands and follows company and Government procedures for barcoding property.
- Reports suspicious activity and items to the appropriate personnel via the most appropriate means.
- With minimal supervision, completes work, meets priorities, and achieved results based on the organizations goals and objectives.
- Comprehends signs and obeys a statement of understanding in regard to the operation of Government or company owned motor vehicles and/or other equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job RequirementsMandatory:- High school graduate or equivalent GED.
- Two (2) years of work experience in the field of logistics, supply and/or Property
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Possess the required security clearance.
- Familiarity with record filling and property inventory/management.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Mature judgment and ability to perform assigned work tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to pass a pre-hire background and drug screen.
- Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or team lift of 75 pounds.
