The AWS Global Government Delivery Organization (GGDO) is seeking a Software Property Manager to support software asset accountability and compliance in support of the U.S. Intelligence Community and Department of Defense.
Based in Northern Virginia, you will join an elite team of program management and technical professionals delivering secure, scalable, and mission-driven technology solutions for our national security customers. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day tracking, compliance, and lifecycle management of software property assets across classified environments - ensuring the program maintains full accountability in accordance with federal property regulations.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Key job responsibilities
• Track and manage software property assets throughout their lifecycle - including acquisition, licensing, deployment, maintenance, and disposition - across classified and unclassified environments
• Maintain accurate and auditable software property records, including license entitlements, version tracking, deployment locations, and contract associations
• Ensure compliance with FAR 52.245-1, DFARS property clauses, and contract-specific requirements for Government Furnished Software (GFS) and Contractor Acquired Software
• Support property audits, self-assessments, and government surveillance activities by providing accurate asset data and documentation
• Coordinate with program teams, cybersecurity, IT, and government stakeholders on software deployments, transfers, and disposition actions
• Maintain the program's software property documentation - including SOPs, inventory reports, and CDRL inputs - to ensure consistency and compliance
• Monitor license utilization and expiration timelines, flagging risks and coordinating renewals or reallocation as needed
• Partner with hardware property managers and the PMO to ensure integrated asset visibility across the full property portfolio
• Identify opportunities to improve software tracking processes, including automation of recurring reports and inventory reconciliation
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of property management, asset management, portfolio management and/or real estate financial analysis experience
- Familiarity with FAR/DFARS property clauses and government property accountability requirements
- Experience with asset tracking tools or software license management platforms
- Experience working in classified environments (IC or DoD)
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with AWS or cloud technologies
- Experience in handling internal & external audits
- CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager) or NPMA property certification (CPPS/CPPM)
- Experience managing software assets in cloud or data center environments
- Understanding of cybersecurity and accreditation considerations related to software deployment in classified environments
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
