Job Summary:

Overview:

The Lockton Southeast Series Property Team is excited to announce we are seeking an Account Executive position working within our Property team. The Account Executive is responsible for all marketing and service needs for a designated book of Lockton clients with a significant Property risk profile. These clients tend to demand a high degree of complexity and/or sophistication in terms of coverage and/or service. The position reports directly to the Property Practice Lead, but the Account Executive is expected to work in a highly independent role and in accordance with Lockton Property Practice policies and procedures.

The Southeast Series Property Team is made up of highly skilled individuals focused on developing in-depth, collaborative relationships with both internal and external clients. Our clients value the service we have to offer and rely heavily on the team for data analysis, advice, miscellaneous troubleshooting, along with loss control and claims.

  • Understanding of the global property marketplace, fronted programs, admitted and non-admitted global coverages.
  • Understanding of natural catastrophe modeling. Ability to interpret data and apply to client's exposures and program.
  • The ability to work effectively with internal (Southeast Series Team and National Property Practice) and external (Client) teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Complete exposure and coverage review
  • Create renewal proposal for client
  • Provide recommendations for insurance program improvements
  • Consult with client to determine if insurance program should be marketed
  • Lead client renewal strategy meeting
  • Negotiate terms, conditions, and premiums with underwriters
  • Present renewal proposal and make recommendations to client
  • Review prospect information, support RFP responses and other sales activities
  • Organize and communicate an effective marketing strategy - including domestic and international underwriters, along with various additional brokers (wholesale, London, Bermudan, etc.)
  • Provide market update / guidance to client
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration with producers and team members
  • Initiate and manage entire renewal process in a timely manner
  • Initiate involvement of Practice leader, team members and Lockton resources as needed
  • Assist in development of other associates by identifying additional skills, training needs, etc.
  • Strong presentation skills, including preparation, execution, and delivery of materials
  • Coordinate/collaborate with Claims and Loss Control property professionals
  • Analyze complex data, interpret, and communicate findings
  • Listen to clients and colleagues, provide meaningful feedback, and collaborate to identify problems and solutions
  • Share subject matter expertise in development of other associates
  • Provide strategic planning and consulting advice to clients, prospects, and team members
  • Lead all meetings with client and Producer with minimal direct involvement of Practice Lead
  • Manage a book of business which consists of significant and/or complex accounts


Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 year industry experience
  • Viewed as collaborative, patient, and a team player across Series and Lockton as a whole
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives
  • Advanced working knowledge of commercial property/casualty coverage's and services
  • Substantial experience in marketing and servicing the insurance needs of commercial accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to instill confidence and comfort with clients so client looks to you and to Lockton as more than just an insurance broker, but a partner in business
  • Demonstrated ability to instill producer confidence and win/retain deals
  • Wholly understands the concept, issues, and overall impact of market pricing
  • Understanding of commercial rating concepts
  • Ability to consult clients on other Lockton services and insurance needs
  • Ability to make decisions in compliance with established Lockton standards of quality performance and service
  • Understanding and executing superior service, fostering and maintaining partnerships and relationships in accordance with Lockton quality procedures and performance standards
