Description

This is an onsite role based in Durango, Colorado. Agile is seeking an experienced Product Lead to lead the development, evolution, and strategic direction of its spaceflight tank (pressure vessel) product portfolio. This role is responsible for owning product definition, roadmap planning support, and technical coordination activities supporting both business development and program execution efforts.

The Product Lead works with technical fellows to define the technical roadmap for the product line. This role works across engineering, manufacturing, program management, and business development teams to refine product direction, establish technical requirements, and ensure alignment between customer mission needs and product capabilities.

The Product Lead will own the technical volume for proposals and ensure the product line technical roadmap is reflected in proposal efforts. The Product Lead will also own the technical product details used to support marking and sales, such as fly sheets. This role will oversee the initial establishment of product requirements from proposal award through SRR, ensuring an effective handoff to the program systems engineering team.

Agile operates in a fast-paced development environment. This role is expected to take ownership of assigned product areas, support technical planning activities, and help ensure products are positioned to meet long-term company and customer objectives. This position may require occasional travel, some on short notice to provide direct customer support and technical assistance.

  • Serve as a technical liaison between customers, programs, and internal engineering teams
  • Establish technical relationships with customers to align products with mission needs
  • Participate in gated product development reviews and provide technical guidance for product evolution activities.
  • Support trade studies, anomaly investigations, and product improvement efforts
  • Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment between technical, schedule, and product objectives


Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in aerospace or related technical field
  • Proven experience with spacecraft tank and pressure vessel systems, including architecture, design, integration, test, qualification, and production
  • Knowledge of pressure vessel design, propellant storage systems, propellant management devices, structural considerations, materials selection, and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with tank and pressure vessel requirements development, verification, manufacturing, qualification, proof testing, and acceptance testing activities
  • Experience with spacecraft fluid systems, propulsion interfaces, mission integration, trade studies, and technical risk reduction efforts
  • Experience supporting proposal development and customer technical discussions
  • Experience supporting gated design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
  • Strong systems engineering, technical communication, and cross-functional coordination skills
  • Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams and with customers to define mission objectives, CONOPS, and system requirements

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools such as JAMA or similar
  • Experience supporting failure investigations and root cause analysis
  • Familiarity with NASA fracture control requirements, pressure vessel certification requirements, and/or other aerospace industry standards
  • Experience with metallic pressure vessels, spacecraft propellant tanks, piston tanks, diaphragm tanks, and propellant management devices (PMDs)
  • Experience with electron beam welding (EBW), pressure vessel manufacturing processes, and aerospace flight hardware fabrication
  • Knowledge of material compatibility between propellants, pressurants, metals, polymers, elastomers, and sealing materials used in spacecraft fluid systems
  • Clear and concise presentation and communication skills
  • Experience with project management tools and techniques

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Employment Type: Exempt

Salary: $156,000 - $210,000 Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, and internal equity, and is typically made within the midrange, rather than the upper end.

Work Schedule: Full Time

Travel Requirements: < 25%

Relocation Stipend
