Summary

We are growing and seeking a Self-Perform Treatment Plant Superintendent to join our construction team. In this role, you will lead and oversee self-perform water/wastewater treatment construction activities, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality.

As a Self-Perform Treatment Plant Superintendent, you will plan, coordinate, and manage all on-site construction activities for large-scale water infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in using our self-perform capabilities to enhance quality control, project performance, and overall execution. Your leadership will help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to our standard of excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Project Superintendent will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, high quality and productive (SQP) manner. Note that the areas listed are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by co-workers assigned to this role. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this job.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and supervise field crews including logistics, manpower, equipment, materials, schedules, and daily work plans.
  • Maintain and distribute contract documents, addenda, RFIs, and field orders.
  • Promote and enforce site safety in coordination with the Safety Department, including documented weekly inspections.
  • Prepare daily reports detailing progress, conditions, conversations, and challenges.
  • Hold subcontractors accountable to project plans, standards, and commitments.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and submittals for compliance with specifications.
  • Lead project quality control efforts including inspections, testing, and documentation.
  • As needed, support field work directly (working foreman / hands-on role) depending on workload and project demands.


Requirements

  • 8-10 years of relevant construction experience; industrial treatment experience preferred.
  • 2-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical training/experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor crews and foster collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of project scheduling and cost control.
  • Excellent communication skills with a team-first approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and industry software (e.g., Bluebeam).
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • BS in Engineering or Construction Management preferred but not required.
