Project Specialist – Avionics Test Engineering (ONSITE in either Melbourne, FL, Wilsonville, OR or Cedar Rapids, IA)
The Collins Aerospace Avionics Test Engineering team designs, develops, and maintains manufacturing test solutions for the $5B Avionics business unit and external customers, including domestic and international armed services and airlines.
The organization is looking for a motivated individual to provide Engineering support as a Senior Analyst, Project Management in the Project Specialist role. As a key member of the Engineering Support team, the Project Specialist assists engineers by providing analytics, tracking metrics, supporting processes, and managing general project-related activities.

The ideal individual will deliver high-quality work efficiently while maintaining professionalism in interactions across all levels of the organization. They will focus on building trust with customers and ensuring process adherence while seeking opportunities for continuous improvement. This role requires versatility in handling various tasks within a collaborative environment. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential. The position involves close collaboration with engineers and leaders across multiple locations to support project success.
What You Will Do:
Provide support in the creation, management, and maintenance of the program's Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Develop, analyze, and deliver comprehensive reports on project and organizational performance.
Requires both independent action and team collaboration to accomplish objectives and resolve issues
Influence others through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
Monitor and review the status of projects and budgets, ensuring schedules are managed effectively, and provide regular status reports and detailed analyses.
Communicate clearly and effectively with peers, engineers, and leadership across the organization to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives by applying change management strategies in alignment with the CORE process.
Oversee and manage support processes and tools, including Atlassian's application lifecycle management (ALM) software suite and Microsoft O365.
Manage and improve the ticketing process, ensuring timely resolution and efficient workflows.
Create clear and concise 'how-to' documentation and provide training to users as needed.
Identify, analyze, and resolve moderate to complex problems to support organizational goals and project success.
Support bids and review of anticipated project forecasts.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
Proficiency with Microsoft Project & Excel
US Citizen or Permanent Residence

Demonstrated ability to adapt to change in a dynamic work environment
Use of Staffing Center (Access Database) and OnePager software
Knowledge of the standard Collins Engineering tools (ALM, Jira, Confluence, Jama, SAP, Subversion)

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
