Job Summary
Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, Axiom, with the spin planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications. Project Specialist

The Project Specialist will be responsible for managing projects of low to medium complexity to achieve key performance indicators including cost, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong project analysis, financial management, and problem-solving skills to ensure successful project execution from initiation through completion.

Principal Accountabilities

• Help establish project schedules, financial parameters, and technical requirements, managing projects from initiation through transfer.
• Review and communicate customer requirements, specifications, project schedules, and budget constraints to cross-functional teams.
• Review daily production schedules and identify potential problem areas, risks, and project impacts.
• Assess causes of problems, perform root cause analysis, and provide technical support and direction to project teams to resolve issues effectively.
• Develop status reports, including project financials, ensuring project teams meet customer requirements, maintain cost control, and support overall financial management objectives.
• Perform project analysis to identify trends, risks, resource needs, and opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain project plans, documentation, procedures, and project deliverables.
• Conduct presentations concerning specific projects, schedules, performance metrics, and project outcomes.
• Assist in the management of larger projects and programs.
• Interact frequently with customers and functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management and regularly work with middle management and individual contributor groups.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by implementing corrective and preventive actions based on project findings and root cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of related project management, project coordination, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrates advanced functional, technical, and people and/or process management skills, as well as strong internal and external customer relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated project analysis skills, including the ability to assess project performance, identify risks, evaluate data, and drive effective solutions.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to identify underlying issues and implement corrective actions.
• Strong financial management experience, including project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, financial reporting, and cost control.
• Ability to read, investigate, and interpret complex documents; respond effectively to inquiries or complaints; and develop presentations, reports, and communications for multiple audiences.
• Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and interpret complex technical instructions.
• Impacts the immediate to medium-term direction and operational success of the function. Executes and provides input to functional plans, objectives, processes, technologies, and site initiatives.
• Demonstrates the capability to lead major initiatives that impact business performance and project outcomes.
• Normally receives little to no instruction in day-to-day responsibilities and may direct the work of others.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other recognized Project Management certification preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects within a manufacturing, operations, or technical environment preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% as business needs require.
