Position Overview

ARES is seeking a Project Scheduler to support planning, scheduling, and project controls activities across the Wallops Range Contract. The successful candidate will develop, maintain, analyze, and control project schedules supporting operational, maintenance, engineering, modernization, and mission execution activities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring project objectives, milestones, and resource requirements are accurately planned and tracked while providing schedule analysis, risk assessments, and performance reporting to contract leadership and NASA customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and control project and task schedules supporting contract operations and projects.
  • Create and maintain integrated schedules that accurately reflect project scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Develop project logic networks and validate activity sequencing, durations, and schedule assumptions.
  • Coordinate with project managers, task leads, engineers, and operations personnel to ensure schedules accurately reflect project requirements and execution plans.
  • Identify critical milestones, key decision points, and activities necessary to achieve project objectives.
  • Document schedule changes, revisions, impacts, and baseline updates.
  • Perform schedule analyses to evaluate project performance, identify variances, and assess schedule health.
  • Conduct critical path, schedule risk, and what-if analyses to support management decision-making.
  • Support identification, assessment, and mitigation of project schedule risks.
  • Generate schedule status reports, metrics, dashboards, and management briefings.
  • Support contract leadership and NASA customers with schedule reviews, project planning activities, and performance assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with established scheduling, project controls, and quality management processes.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.In lieu of aBachelor'sdegree, eight (8) years of related experience may be substituted.
  • ABachelorsdegree and a minimum of 5 years of project schedulingexperience is required.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project schedules in a professional project environment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or other enterprise scheduling tools.
  • Experience supporting NASA, Department of Defense, aerospace, engineering, construction, or technical services programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and management teams.
