Full Job Description
The Project Quality Manager is accountable for tactical execution quality across engineering and supplier deliverables. This role ensures that engineering outputs, specifications, inspections, and testing activities are planned, executed, verified, and resolved in accordance with project requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Program, ensuring quality requirements are established, communicated, and consistently enforced throughout the project lifecycle. • Develop and institute leading and lagging KPIs to monitor the project health • Apply lessons learned and best practices from previous regional capital projects to improve quality performance and execution. • Ensure engineering deliverables comply with approved execution plans, project specifications, applicable codes, regulatory requirements, and company standards. • Review engineering specifications, data sheets, and technical documentation to verify completeness, accuracy, and fitness for purpose while ensuring appropriate review, validation, and approval processes are followed. • Review, approve, and oversee Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring inspection and testing activities are completed, documented, and executed in accordance with project requirements. • Coordinate supplier quality activities, including shop inspections, witness and hold points, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and resolution of technical quality issues with vendors and contractors. • Lead the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process by conducting root cause analyses, coordinating corrective actions, verifying effectiveness, and ensuring timely resolution of quality issues impacting project cost, schedule, or risk. • Partner with Engineering Leads, Discipline Engineers, Suppliers, and Project Leadership to drive continuous quality improvement and maintain compliance across all phases of project execution. REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered. • 10+ years in engineering quality assurance, supplier quality, or quality management supporting large capital or industrial projects. • Hands-on experience with inspections, testing programs, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and supplier quality oversight. • Demonstrated experience managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Thorough understanding of engineering standards, quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. • Proven ability to manage technical quality across multiple engineering disciplines while collaborating with cross-functional project teams and external suppliers. • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive quality-focused outcomes. • Experience supporting complex capital projects within EPC, EPCM, owner, manufacturing, chemical, energy, or industrial environments preferred.
