Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Project Public Relations & Communication Coordinator is responsible for managing public relations and communication activities for a major project, with a strong focus on engagement with local communities, public authorities, and external stakeholders. The role supports onsite communication strategy development, stakeholder mapping, and execution of communication plans aligned with project and client objectives.
The position serves as a key interface between project teams, corporate communications, and external stakeholders, ensuring consistent messaging, strong community relations, and protection of the project's reputation.
Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional Responsibilities- Develop stakeholder mapping, communication diagnostics, and advocacy plans aligned with project and client needs
- Develop and articulate key project messages for public authorities, local communities, and stakeholders
- Identify appropriate communication channels to deliver consistent messaging
- Establish structured communication plans including formats, distribution channels, and content requirements
- Prepare communication materials and key messages in collaboration with project teams
- Coordinate and implement internal communication campaigns and initiatives
- Develop and manage internal communication calendars to support timely messaging and activities
- Organize project events, town halls, and community engagement activities
- Support production of project-related content including newsletters, videos, and photo materials
- Manage project communication assets including photo libraries and communication materials
Leadership / Management Responsibilities - Act as the primary interface between Technip Energies and the client for external communication approvals
- Coordinate communication activities with project leadership, corporate communications, and global teams
- Maintain relationships with public authorities, government agencies, and community stakeholders
- Coordinate with client teams to align advocacy and communication strategies
- Serve as focal point for VIP visits and stakeholder engagement activities
- Provide communication guidance and support to project leadership and functions (HSE, Compliance, Quality, etc.)
- Facilitate communication coordination meetings and stakeholder discussions
Compliance / Operational Responsibilities - Ensure all communication content complies with company and client communication guidelines
- Disseminate communication rules and best practices across project teams
- Maintain alignment with regulatory, community, and stakeholder expectations
- Support development and execution of crisis communication messaging and approval processes
- Ensure consistency, quality, and accuracy of all communication deliverables
- Maintain coordination with public agencies related to transportation, environmental, safety, and emergency services
QualificationsRequired Qualifications- 5-8 years of experience in public relations and internal/external communications
- Strong experience in stakeholder and community engagement
- Excellent written communication skills across multiple formats (articles, posts, reports, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in complex, multicultural, and project-based environments
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications - Experience working on large industrial or energy projects
- Knowledge of video production and graphic design (basic level)
- Experience organizing large-scale events and engagement initiatives
