Project Planner Scheduler

Role Overview

The Project Planner Scheduler supports the Project Management team by developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed project schedules throughout the full project lifecycle, from development through operations. This role ensures schedules are logically structured, resource- and cost-aligned, and reflective of project goals to support cost control, risk mitigation, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop logically linked project schedules based on proposal documents, contracts, and estimate data.
  • Create and update preliminary and master schedules defining full project work sequences.
  • Maintain project master schedules and track actual performance against baseline plans.
  • Provide regular schedule updates and evaluate progress against key milestones.
  • Interface with Project Managers and Engineers to assess impacts, risks, and resolve schedule issues.
  • Prepare proposal and preliminary schedules for customer presentations and project kickoffs.
  • Incorporate resource and cost loading to support Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Serve as a technical advisor for complex scheduling challenges and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborate with project teams and estimators to ensure planning is completed prior to execution.
  • Assist Project Managers with schedule segments and assess impacts to the overall master schedule.
  • Provide guidance on schedule modifications, content, and presentation.
  • Travel to project sites to support scheduling during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Participate in customer, EPC, and partner meetings to support schedule coordination and reporting.
  • Monitor EPC schedule performance and provide independent monthly progress assessments.
  • Analyze document submission schedules and identify mitigation strategies for delays.
  • Perform Critical Path Analysis (CPA) and develop alternative schedules as needed.
  • Coordinate planning and scheduling requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support bid and proposal activities with Level 1 schedule development.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and project-specific scheduling requirements.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; minimum five years of EPC project scheduling experience.
  • Experience planning and scheduling major power generation projects.
  • Strong ability to analyze technical and business documentation and prepare reports.
  • Working knowledge of mathematical concepts including ratios, percentages, probability, and geometry.
  • Strong reasoning skills for interpreting complex technical instructions and resolving schedule conflicts.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling, resource-loading software, spreadsheets, word processing, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
