Job Description
BAE is seeking a highly skilled and disciplined Project Manager to support the integration and execution of a complex radar system program, with a strong emphasis on manufacturing and production environments. The successful candidate will serve as a key stakeholder driving program execution, ensuring technical, cost, and schedule objectives are achieved. This role requires a deep understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition processes and demonstrated experience leading Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) through the full lifecycle of hardware-intensive programs.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Execution & Integration:
Lead and support program integration activities ensuring seamless transitions from design to manufacturing and final delivery. Coordinate efforts across engineering, supply chain, quality, operations, and finance to maintain alignment with cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives.
• Operational Excellence:
Identify execution bottlenecks and drive process improvement initiatives that improve efficiency and reduce non-recurring costs. Utilize the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to proactively identify risks, maintain schedule fidelity, and support rigorous cost and schedule management practices.
• Manufacturing Liaison:
Serve as the primary conduit between engineering and production, leveraging manufacturing expertise to ensure designs are optimized for build, materials and tooling are available, and factory teams are supported throughout radar system integration and test.
• Cost/Schedule/Technical Management:
Demonstrated experience with program execution and monthly reporting requirements. Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and financial acumen to support development of ETC/EAC. Track task performance, maintain schedule updates, and contribute to monthly schedule analysis and program assessments.
Required Skills and Education
• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience, or
• Master's Degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience
• PMP certification
Preferred Skills and Education
Domain Expertise:
Proven experience managing complex defense programs, preferably within radar or electronic warfare (EW). Strong knowledge of DoD contract types (CPFF, FFP, CPIF) and comprehensive understanding of FAR/DFARS requirements.
• International Business:
Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs and international customer engagement. Understanding of import/export compliance, State Department regulations, INCOTERMS, and TAA-approved technical data exchange processes.
• Operational Knowledge:
Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with an understanding of hardware production flows and constraints. Demonstrated IPT leadership, coordinating cross-functional teams in fast-paced, technically demanding environments.

• Costpoint - financial management and project accounting
• Cognos - business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis
• ENOVIA - Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and configuration control
• MS Project - detailed scheduling and milestone tracking
• Salesforce - customer relationship management and pipeline tracking
