Job DescriptionCDM Smith currently has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with previous experience managing Water and Wastewater projects to join our West Central group. In this position, you will be the main point of contact for planning and design of drinking water, wastewater treatment, pump station, conveyance, and water resources projects in Arizona and assist with business development activities. CDM Smith has been providing services to the Arizona market for over 20 years and has a local office with over 50 employees with broad engineering capabilities. Our services have spanned the areas of design and construction administration of drinking water, wastewater, water resources, storm water, environmental, master planning studies and modeling.

As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:
- Managing and serving as the Project Manager on major area Arizona water & wastewater projects.
- Providing technical guidance, leadership, and mentoring engineering staff to enhance our water services design capabilities.
- Being responsible for scope, schedule, budget development, monitoring and adherence for projects managed.
- Completing Quality Assurance/Quality Control of key deliverables.
- Assisting Client Service Leaders with technical marketing meeting clients in the Arizona region.
- Participation in professional societies relevant to the industry.
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with key decision makers in our clients' organizations.

Skills & Abilities- Experience working with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices.
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of project goals, drivers, strategies, risks and opportunities.
- Demonstrates good communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Possesses ability to interact with varying levels of staff, as well as vendors.
- Good interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and clients.
- Ability to process a large volume of requests as necessary.
- Good personal computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Demonstrates good organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree.
- 7 years of related experience.
- PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list).
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental or chemical engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• Previous experience working on and managing design projects for municipal wastewater, drinking water, conveyance and water resources for clients in the greater Arizona market.
• Excellent communication, networking and team building skills.
• Master's degree.
• Previous business development experience including preparation of proposals and scopes of work and fee estimates for municipal clients.

Pay Range MinUSD $100,214.00
Pay Range MaxUSD $175,365.00
Additional Pay Range InformationCDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
Additional CompensationAll bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
