How You Will Make An Impact
Develop and prepare proposals for environmental services, including:
-Defining scope of field and laboratory investigations
-Preparing cost estimates and project schedules
-Defining deliverables
-Preparing, delivering and discussing proposal documents with clients
Assist in managing all aspects of a project, including all financial and technical components
Direct and manage project staff
Design remediation strategies and programs
Coordinate subcontractor/subconsultant efforts and services
Develop and present project specific or technical presentations to clients or technical organizations and in-house staff
Communicate with clients and representatives of regulatory agencies to coordinate regulatory approvals
Develop and maintain professional business relationships with targeted clients
Conduct periodic site / client visits, project and business development meetings
Assist in developing business strategies and action plans for creating growth opportunities
What You Bring to The Team
Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Ecology, Geology, Environmental Technology, Environmental Science / Health, Natural Resources, or related degree, from a 4-year accredited college or university.
Professional Engineer's registration is a plus.
8+ years of demonstrated experience in Water Quality/Resource management, including:
-Working knowledge of Clean Water Act (CWA) and associated programs (NPDES, permitting & compliance, etc.)
-Understanding of state environmental regulations (MI, OH)
Experience with CWA compliance matters related to industrial and utility facilities.
Experience with project planning, budgeting, delegation, and financial management.
Experience leading and growing a team of diverse professionals.
Ability to organize technical material into comprehensive reports as well as perform QA/QC reviews on work product.
Project planning, budgeting, task delegation and management to ensure project is completed according to work plans.
Accuracy, dependability, and strong organizational skills.
Time management skills, ability to manage multiple projects at any given time, and have ability to work in a team environment.
Must have strong written and oral communication skills, be able to work in a team environment as well as independently, demonstrate collaborative approach to problem-solving, and have ability to interact with clients to understand their needs.
Must hold a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to and conduct field work at job sites/offices in Michigan.
May be required to perform job duties in the field and office, during non-standard work hours, as necessary.
Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
