Job Summary

GA Intelligence is seeking an Innovation Manager to bridge our R&D efforts with the operational mission, guiding promising research projects from concept through to market adoption. This is a dual-facing role: internally, you will partner with engineering and research teams to mature R&D investments into deployable capabilities; externally, you will engage with customers and stakeholders across the Intelligence Community and Department of War to understand mission needs, identify market opportunities, and shape solutions that deliver real operational value. The ideal candidate will possess deep familiarity with these communities and the practical experience to translate emerging technology into mission impact.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead early-stage pursuits from prototype through embedded development alongside customer operators, maturing promising concepts to the point where they convert to a contract and transition into an operating line of business
  • Engage potential customers and stakeholders to understand operational requirements, identify mission gaps, and shape R&D priorities accordingly
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for emerging capabilities, including identifying early adopters, transition partners, and acquisition pathways
  • Deliver mission expertise to technical teams to ensure that developed solutions meet the operational needs of the user and identify new opportunities to address mission gaps
  • Assist with development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve organizational objectives and drive growth
  • Conduct stakeholder engagements and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with software solution teams to define strategic priorities, provide input on effectiveness of software solutions for users and stakeholders, and solicit feedback from users/stakeholders on software designs
  • Develop and assess use cases and scenarios for solution evaluation and testing
  • Evaluate potential partnerships, alliances, and opportunities to support business expansion
  • Stay abreast of industry developments to inform strategy and maintain competitive advantage
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to articulate strategic priorities, solicit feedback, and build consensus around strategic initiatives
