This individual will lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout with a strong focus on ground up commercial, industrial, and tilt up construction. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong financial, operational, and client management skills who thrives in a collaborative environment.
What You'll Do:- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion
- Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and schedules
- Oversee project financial performance, including cost tracking, forecasting, billings, and change management
- Lead owner, architect, consultant, and subcontractor meetings
- Review and manage contracts, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Coordinate subcontractor buyout and procurement activities
- Partner closely with Superintendents to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet quality expectations
- Identify project risks and develop proactive solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and trade partners
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards throughout construction
- Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, turnover documentation, and warranty coordination
- Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers as needed
What You'll Bring:- Minimum 5 years of Project Manager experience with a commercial general contractor
- Proven experience managing ground up commercial construction projects
- Industrial and tilt up construction experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing projects valued from approximately $10 million to $100 million
- Strong knowledge of project financial management, scheduling, contracts, and risk management
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, and owners
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
