Job Summary

The Center's mission is to use interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary approaches to improve health and make healthcare practice, policy, and work more just, equitable and humane. The Center aims to de-marginalize approaches and disciplines currently considered ?soft? parts of medicine, so they may come to be understood as central and essential. CHHASSEM is a home for anyone within Michigan Medicine and the University of Michigan more broadly who is interested in centering lessons from history, humanities, arts, social sciences, and bioethics to deepen our understanding of health, illness, and care delivery and to amplify the promise of biomedicine. CHHASSEM asks an aspirational question, what could healthcare become.
