Position Purpose

The Project Manager - Technology, Hardware leads the end-to-end delivery of complex, multidimensional internal product and technology development projects, owning the full project lifecycle from planning and discovery through execution, validation, launch readiness, and final delivery. This role is accountable for project scope, budget, schedule, resources, and overall team performance.

The Project Manager - Technology, Hardware defines and drives the project execution strategy, translating internal product goals, business requirements, and technology needs into clear project plans that align technical solutions, operational capabilities, and investment priorities. The role ensures the right balance between standard platforms, reusable solutions, and targeted innovation to meet organizational goals and project constraints.

As a senior project leader, the Project Manager - Technology, Hardware drives strategic problem-solving, prioritization, and course correction throughout the project lifecycle. The role collaborates closely with product, engineering, manufacturing, operations, and subject matter experts-leveraging their expertise or serving as one when needed-to deliver effective, practical solutions.

Overall, the Project Manager - Technology, Hardware ensures disciplined project leadership and successful internal project outcomes while balancing technical feasibility, operational efficiency, adoption readiness, and financial performance.

Essential Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Project Management
    • Successful delivery of multidimensional internal product and technology development scope, schedule, and budget
    • Ensure that product vision, business priorities, and technology roadmaps are considered throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Drive internal stakeholder alignment and confidence, regularly meeting or exceeding expectations.
    • Clear internal communication of project status, progress, decisions, risks, and dependencies
    • Leadership of final deliverables, ensuring TAIT quality throughout development and handoff
    • Draw together product, engineering, manufacturing, operational, and support disciplines to ensure project success.
    • Collaborate with customer project teams to ensure successful first-time delivery of new technology of products
    • Risk monitoring and delay management.
    • Active management of project financials, investment tracking, and resource planning


  • Product & Technology Scope Development
    • Lead in translating internal business, product, and technology needs into clear project language, requirements, and execution plans.
    • Ensure that product vision, user needs, technical feasibility, and business value are considered throughout intake, discovery, and planning.
    • Drive the development of creative, technical, and scalable solutions.
    • Lead cost estimates, resource planning, schedule assumptions, and contingency planning.
    • Establish internal budgets, milestone plans, funding assumptions, and approval checkpoints.


  • Project Finances & Budgets
    • Plan project spend, resource demand, and funding timing according to approved business cases and internal budgets
    • Maintain budget milestones, purchase planning, and internal financial tracking
    • Lead the development of the baseline budget at the outset of a project
    • Maintain ongoing Forecasts to track for deviations throughout Project lifecycle
    • Monitor and control project costs, scope changes, and approved adjustments
    • Raise early flags for potential risks as well as opportunities
    • Provide periodic project status reports


  • Organizational Relationships & Participation
    • Act as the point of contact and accountable individual for the project to senior leadership, technology leadership, and executive teams.
    • Serves as an advocate for product and technology outcomes by ensuring high levels of collaboration, responsiveness, and service to internal stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain good relationships with Project Performance and Operations groups
    • Proactive, open, and transparent communication
    • Attend (and/or organize) regular check-in meetings
    • Monitor team in identifying who should be "around the table" for strategic conversations
    • Utilize relationships to resolve challenges, conflicts, dependencies, or priority tradeoffs within a project or between competing projects
    • Attend global and regional "All Hands" and similar organization meetings and gatherings
    • Stay up to date on time clocking, expense report submittals, and other administrative tasks


  • Continuous Improvements
    • Drive opportunities for minor and major improvements in the project process, product development practices, and technology delivery workflows
    • Participate in departmental and organizational initiatives
    • Ensure "Lessons Learned" discussions occur for Projects that warrant celebrations of positive outcomes and critical reflection of negative outcomes

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years project management or relevant industry experience in product development, technology development, entertainment, live events, construction management, or other relevant field. OR Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Technical Theater, Product Development, Technology, or Live Event related field, plus 8+ years experience in product, technology, entertainment, or project management
  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Project scheduling and roadmap management (e.g. MS Project, Asana)
  • Budget management and analysis (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) (e.g. Epicor, SAP)
  • Product, portfolio, or lifecycle management tools (e.g. Jira, Aha!, Zendesk, Salesforce, Fusion Manage)
  • Content Management System (e.g. Box, SharePoint, Google Drive)
  • Familiarity with manufacturing or fabrication processes and principles
  • Ability to be in office Monday - Friday, with occasional travel to TAIT locations or job sites as needed


Preferred Experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Proven track record of managing profitable projects or successful new product development
  • Proven ability to prioritize across multiple projects

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
