Must Have Technical/Functional Skills - 12+ years in IT delivery with a minimum of 8 years in a dedicated Project manager role must have successfully led at least two large-scale, cross-functional projects to completion across different project types such as system migrations, digital transformations, platform implementations, or new product launches
- Strong command of both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies ability to apply the right framework to the right context, and to manage hybrid projects where different workstreams operate under different delivery models simultaneously
- Expertise in project governance ability to set up and run a full governance structure from scratch: RAID log, steering committee, change control board, escalation matrix, and status reporting cadence tailored to the project's complexity and stakeholder expectations
- Proficiency in project planning and tracking tools Jira, MS Project, Confluence, Smartsheet, or equivalent and advanced reporting using Excel or Power BI to build executive-level dashboards and project health views
- Financial management skills experience owning a project budget, tracking actuals vs. forecast on a T&M or fixed-price basis, managing scope change requests with impact assessments, and presenting financial status to senior leadership
- Proven experience managing large vendor delivery partnerships defining SOWs, tracking against contractual deliverables, running governance reviews with vendor leadership, and holding delivery teams accountable without creating adversarial dynamics
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple parallel workstreams architecture, engineering, data, QA, security, infrastructure, and business readiness ensuring dependencies are mapped, sequenced, and tracked across the full project lifecycle
- Experience with organizational change management identifying business impact of project changes, developing stakeholder communication plans, managing resistance, and ensuring teams and end users are ready before go-live
- Strong experience with risk management identifying project-level risks early, building credible mitigation plans, quantifying risk exposure, and escalating only what genuinely requires SLT intervention with recommended options attached
- SAFe or equivalent scaled Agile experience familiarity with PI Planning, Project Increment objectives, ART-level ceremonies, and multi-team dependency management for Agile projects running at scale
Roles & Responsibilities - Own full accountability for project delivery across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk from project initiation through delivery, go-live, and stabilization; the project's success or failure is this role's responsibility
- Define the project roadmap and integrated delivery plan at the outset break the project into logical phases or waves, identify the critical path, map all workstream dependencies, and establish milestones that stakeholders can hold the team to
- Establish and operate project governance from day one steering committee cadence, RAID log, change control board, decision log, and status reporting framework; governance must be operational before delivery teams begin work, not retrofitted after problems appear
- Manage vendor and partner delivery organizations own the SOW and contractual obligations, run regular governance reviews, enforce SLA commitments, escalate vendor performance issues through the right channels, and document all delivery decisions
- Drive cross-functional workstream alignment c hair dependency resolution sessions, maintain the integrated dependency log, assign ownership to every cross-team dependency, and track resolution to closure before it becomes a blocker
- Own project financial management track T&M actuals and forecast weekly, manage change requests through formal scope change process with full impact assessment on budget, schedule, and risk, and present financial health to SLT with transparency
- Facilitate and own Agile project ceremonies where applicable PI Planning, System Demos, Inspect and Adapt workshops ensuring all teams have clear objectives, dependencies mapped, and capacity planned for each increment
- Proactively manage the RAID log identify risks before they become issues, assign owners, review mitigation progress weekly, and escalate items that exceed the project's risk tolerance with clear options and a recommended course of action
- Lead change management activities assess the organizational impact of the project, build a stakeholder communication plan, ensure business readiness activities (training, process change, cutover preparation) are tracked as project deliverables not afterthoughts
- Be the single accountable point of contact for project health provide weekly written status reports and participate in steering committee meetings with an honest, metric-backed view of progress, risks, and decisions needed; never present a rosier picture than reality supports
Salary Range-$100,000-$140,000 a year
