About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager – Tailings to lead the planning and delivery of capital projects supporting tailings expansion and operational readiness.

This is a great opportunity for a collaborative and solutions-focused professional to contribute to complex, large-scale projects while working in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Reporting to the relevant leader and working within a diverse and collaborative project team, you will:

  • Lead the development and execution of tailings capital projects, ensuring alignment on scope, schedule, cost, and risk
  • Partner with plant and operational stakeholders to identify priorities and define value-driven project scopes
  • Support decision-making through accurate cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments
  • Ensure safety is integrated into all project phases, from design through execution
  • Manage contractors and vendors, ensuring performance, compliance, and effective delivery
  • Monitor project performance and drive continuous improvement across cost, schedule, and risk outcomes
  • Facilitate effective communication and alignment across cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation, including a concentrator, smelter, and refinery, located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States.
