Full Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Project Manager with 4-9 years of experience to lead and support security-focused initiatives within life sciences environments. This role will focus on the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise security programs, including physical security systems, access control, emergency response, and monitoring frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in security operations, proven project management capabilities, and experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders. This role requires the ability to manage timelines, risks, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with security standards, GMP requirements, and regulatory expectations.

WORK LOCATION:
Travel to client sites may be required up to 100%, depending on project needs and client expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive security programs by translating SOPs, service strategies, RACI frameworks, and process taxonomies into actionable project plans and operating models.
  • Manage the design and execution of security operating models, including governance structures, workflows, escalation paths, and performance metrics.
  • Oversee access control and identity governance projects, including badge provisioning, role-based access, visitor management systems, and system integrations.
  • Establish and manage access review processes, audit readiness activities, and compliance controls aligned with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the development of emergency response frameworks, including incident activation protocols, communication structures, and post-incident analysis.
  • Manage alarm monitoring and critical event response initiatives, including coordination with facilities and monitoring teams to define ownership, prioritization, and escalation procedures.
  • Oversee integration of security systems, including access control, CCTV, alarm monitoring, and building systems, ensuring seamless functionality and data flow.
  • Drive the implementation and lifecycle management of security technologies, ensuring proper governance, maintenance, and vendor coordination.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, including automation, process optimization, and enhanced user experience across security services.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, resource allocations, risk registers, and status reporting for security-related initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including security, facilities, engineering, operations, IT, quality, and external vendors.
  • Facilitate meetings, manage action items, and ensure clear and consistent communication across all stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain timelines and deliverables.
  • Ensure all security program activities align with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize and support systems such as access control platforms, BMS, CCTV, CMMS, and digital documentation tools; experience with KNEAT is a plus.
  • Provide clear communication to clients and internal teams, including regular updates, risk escalation, and stakeholder alignment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Security Management, or a related technical field.

Technical Experience
  • 4-9 years of experience managing or supporting security, facilities, or infrastructure projects in GMP-regulated environments such as biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device.
  • Experience leading physical security, access control, or technology implementation projects.
  • Familiarity with security systems such as access control, CCTV, alarm monitoring, and integrated building systems.
  • Experience with engineering lifecycle documentation, system deployment, or commissioning activities is a plus.
  • Experience conducting field verification, system validation, or operational readiness activities.
  • Familiarity with BMS, PCS, CMMS, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with KNEAT or digital documentation platforms is a plus.
