Project Manager - Structural Engineer (Hybrid)Job Summary: The Project Manager - Structural Engineer will manage projects from initial stage to the completion of the project.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and produce structural designs, project management, overseeing the production of structural documents, quality control, shop drawing review and field investigations
- Preparing cost estimates, specifications and contract documents
- Participate in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, business development, and preparation of proposals.
- Project Management responsibilities (customer satisfaction, deliverables, quality, schedule and budget) for assigned projects.
- Prepare bid/proposal packages
- Perform site inspection and condition assessments of existing structures.
- Provide site supervision and technical support for construction projects on an as required basis.
Qualifications and Experience:- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering
- 2-5 years of structural engineering experience
- Professional Engineer license an asset
- Access to a reliable vehicle with a valid Driver's License for travel to client sites
- Experience in either designing steel, concrete, wood or masonry structures for buildings preferred
- Working knowledge of Ontario building codes and standards
- Excellent communication skills, ideally in both English and French preferred
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to work with design team and work on multiple projects at the same time
Location: Ottawa, Ontario (Hybrid: 3 days in-office, Monday and Friday from home)
Travel: Up to 25% (day trips to Montreal and around Ottawa area 1-2 per week)
Compensation & Benefits: The expected base salary range for this role is
$75,000 - $95,000 CAD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
