Job DescriptionPosition SummaryJoin a team building one of the most important energy infrastructure projects in the country. In this role, you'll serve as the owner's advocate through every phase of project delivery-from early planning and design through construction, testing, commissioning, and final turnover. You'll become a subject-matter expert in specialized systems and technologies that support the deployment of a next-generation enrichment plant in Piketon, Ohio.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, construction, and project integration. You'll collaborate across multiple organizations, guide EPC partners and vendors, and ensure that systems, structures, and components are delivered safely, on schedule, and to spec.
What You'll DoYou will help drive the successful design, construction, testing, and commissioning of major facility and system upgrades. This includes coordinating with EPC teams, Centrus staff, contractors, and vendors; supporting equipment specification and design package development; participating in vendor visits and inspections; assisting with configuration management and safety-related requirements; and contributing to test plans, installation standards, and NQA-1 quality activities.
You'll also support system testing and preventive maintenance planning, monitor project schedules and budgets, assess risks, review contractor documentation, and participate in field walkdowns within industrial work areas. Additional engineering and project support responsibilities will be assigned as needed.
We'd Love to Hear from Candidates with:- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Architecture or Construction Management degrees considered), or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of engineering experience, ideally supporting construction or large industrial projects
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Q-level security clearance
A Successful Candidate Will Also bring:- Current Q-level security clearance
- Project engineering or project management experience
- Background in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Chemical engineering
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with suppliers, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
