OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY: The Project Manager Space Utilization provides strategic space and occupancy planning expertise, long term supply and demand planning, real estate strategy, workplace design, complex space analysis, life safety planning and space efficiency. This role is responsible for the development of workplace solutions related to all moves across the Ministry for 10 or less Mission Partners in order to identify goals, create and implement space and occupancy strategies and plans that maximize the Mission Partner's/Department's/Team's experience. They are the primary contact and interface for all space requests with 10 people or less, including special projects with multiple sets of small groups moving at one time. They lead overall space utilization support through collaboration with both the OSF real estate and facilities teams. This role is also responsible for supporting the Facilities Management and Construction division efforts that are driven by OSF's business and objectives.
*Offers remote work 1 day per week*
*Travel across the ministry around 2-4 times per month*
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in architecture, interior design, urban planning, environmental studies, construction, or related field.
- 3 years' experience in space management, planning, urban design and/or design management of buildings.
- Proven ability to lead and execute complex projects with aggressive deadlines.
- Experience adhering to Standards of Performance relative to project execution and performance improvement.
Other Skills/Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
- Solid AutoCAD and Revit skills, with the ability to prepare basic drawings from field surveys and other documents.
- Ability to create technical drawings utilizing standards, practices, and symbols.
- Working knowledge of drafting tools, surveying/measuring instruments, and drawing reproduction equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Past business management and/or business development work experience.
Other Skills/Knowledge:
- Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of Space Management.
- Ability to provide study reports, technical documentation, papers and/or project plans for technical staff members.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to mark-up blueprints from site visits and field studies.
- Knowledge of engineering and architectural design principles.
- Knowledge of healthcare facilities.
