At Subsurface, the Project Manager is responsible for managing the overall construction schedule, contractual risk, project quality, customer and employee satisfaction, and organizational profitability.
You will serve as a key connection point between the client\'s project team and Subsurface\'s operations and management team, helping ensure that each project is planned, communicated, executed, billed, and closed out with discipline and accountability.

What You Will Do- Adhere to company safety policy and model a commitment to working safely.
- Manage and promote a safe work environment by following the company safety program and OSHA requirements.
- Achieve revenue and gross profit goals.
- Manage projects with no rework or loss claims.
- Work toward maintaining a Net Promoter Score of 9.0 or higher.
- Develop and implement the job readiness process with internal and external stakeholders.
- Schedule crews and equipment with superintendents to ensure proper project execution.
- Develop and maintain quality control and best-practice procedures for all products.
- Maintain and execute job startup and handoff processes with superintendents.
- Develop cost estimates and schedules and manage projects through the company financial system and project management procedures.
- Ensure contract responsibilities are communicated and executed appropriately.
- Review and negotiate contracts for scope completeness, accuracy, indemnification, damages, and exposure risk.
- Complete routine project reviews with superintendents and project managers to resolve issues and verify compliance with design, quality control, contract, and schedule requirements.
- Update monthly contracts in progress, including schedule and budget adjustments or summary reporting for over/under billings.
- Complete timesheets, billings, and company expense reporting on time.
- Maintain COI and W-9 documentation for subcontractors annually.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of site, utility, and concrete scopes of work on each project.
- Provide foresight into how other trades\' and customers\' goals impact Subsurface\'s work.
- Identify potential issues well in advance of work stoppage and provide solutions that support customer and project team success.
- Maintain a positive and organized company image, including a clean and organized vehicle and work area.
- Adhere to and enforce company policies.
- Manage the completion of all punch lists.
- Participate in project evaluation sessions and apply lessons learned to future projects.
- Serve as the liaison between the client\'s project team and Subsurface\'s operations and management team.
- Ensure timely and regular attendance.
- Travel during the day and occasional overnight travel as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of employment.
What You Must BringRequired- 5+ years of Heavy Civil Construction or Geotechnical Construction experience.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Strong project management experience.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to manage contract responsibilities, project schedules, cost controls, quality expectations, and customer communication.
- Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, engineers, general contractors, owners, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Day travel and occasional overnight travel required.
Preferred- Project management experience in general construction, drilling, anchors, micropiles, earth retention, grouting, and excavation.
- Experience using Bluebeam, Procore & autoCAD.
