Summary
The Security Project Manager will design, deploy, and maintain the facility security infrastructure for DSV, supporting all divisions. They will work closely with the IT Building Management Team, external security vendors, and other departments to ensure compliance with DSV and regulatory security requirements. The successful candidate should have extensive knowledge of security regulations and compliance requirements, as well as experience in developing and implementing security programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Security Infrastructure Design: Architect comprehensive physical and technical security frameworks, including CCTV placements, intrusion detection, alarm systems, and automated barriers tailored to large-scale warehouse layouts for Greenfield, Brownfield, and Office projects.
- Access Control & Traffic Management: Design and implement intelligent access control setups at entry points, loading docks, driver, and high-value cages to prevent unauthorized access and manage logistical traffic flows.
- Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct continuous security risk assessments and facility audits to identify physical vulnerabilities and operational bottlenecks.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Source and manage relationships with security hardware vendors and integrators, ensuring all installations are completed on budget, on schedule, and up to compliance standards.
- Policy Enforcement & Training: Establish physical security standard operating procedures (SOPs) and train warehouse personnel and security guards on protocol awareness and incident response.
Educational background / Work experience
- A bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in security management, preferably in the transportation and logistics industry.
Skills & Competencies
- Extensive knowledge of security regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel (up to 40% where required)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with security certifications, such as TAPA, C-TPAT and AEO.

- May supervise security personnel
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
- Experience with international security regulations and requirements.
- Familiarity with physical and cyber security.
Language skills
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
Computer Literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with security management systems.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam and/or Visio.
For this position, the expected base pay is: $71,000 - $107,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations.
This position can be located anywhere in the USA where there is a DSV office location.
