Position Summary

The Project Manager owns the commercial and administrative management of a data center construction project, working alongside the construction manager to manage the owner contract, subcontractor agreements, budget, and project documentation. This role tracks cost against budget, manages the change order process from proposal through owner approval, and maintains the project's contractual and financial health throughout the construction schedule.

This is a field-based position supporting construction projects in North Louisiana, Virginia, and Corpus Christi, Texas. Project assignments and reporting locations will vary based on operational needs. Travel and/or temporary relocation may be required.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage the owner contract, including scope compliance, billing, and contract modifications.
  • Administer subcontracts, including buyout, scope review, insurance and bonding compliance, and closeout documentation.
  • Prepare and submit monthly owner pay applications and track subcontractor pay applications for accuracy and lien waiver compliance.
  • Manage the change order process, including cost proposal review, negotiation, and owner approval, in coordination with the senior project controls manager.
  • Maintain project cost reports, including committed cost, forecast to complete, and contingency tracking.
  • Coordinate procurement of long-lead equipment, including generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and mechanical equipment, with the project team and vendors.
  • Support project closeout, including punch list tracking, as-built documentation, warranty compilation, and final owner turnover.
  • Maintain project files, meeting minutes, and correspondence logs in the project management information system.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience on a data center or other mission-critical construction project.
  • Familiarity with long-lead procurement for electrical and mechanical equipment specific to data center construction.
  • Experience with GMP (guaranteed maximum price) or CMAR (construction manager at risk) delivery methods.


Work Environment

Primarily office-based within an on-site field office, with regular walks of the construction site to
verify progress and document conditions. Requires the ability to move through active
construction areas and wear standard personal protective equipment when on site.
