About The RoleThe Project Manager, Retail Special Projects is responsible for managing all logistics and operations of special projects and operations initiatives. The role also serves as the primary point of contact for cross functional teams, contractors/vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with brand standards. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in project management, budget and operational planning, and excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
What You Get To Do Every Day- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, run-of-show documents, and milestone trackers for each project, accurately maintaining project documentation including contracts, financial records, event trackers, etc. and ensuring all logistics are coordinated seamlessly.
- Source and manage venues, vendors/contractors, equipment, fixtures, décor, F&B, staffing, where applicable, to deliver on-brand events and launches.
- Manage cross-functional relationships for logistics (transportation, supplies, compliance, etc), marketing/signage, technology, and other project components.
- Support the development of standardized project management processes, tools, and templates.
- Conduct site visits to manage progress on event or project launch readiness and execution standards, identify risks to timeline, budgets or brand standards, and escalate and resolve issues proactively.
- Track and manage capital budgets and invoicing for all projects.
- Serve as the central project communication hub, providing regular status updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Track event outcomes, gather feedback, and produce post-event recaps with recommendations for future improvements.
- Coordinate with field operations to minimize business disruption and communicate project timelines to store teams and cross-functional partners
- Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and PR teams to align event programming with brand initiatives.
What You Bring To The RoleMinimum Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Operations, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5 years of project management experience in retail events, store development, or event management.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects across geographies.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Procore, or equivalent).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 40% to project sites and events.
Preferred Requirements:- PMP (Project Management Professional) or LEED certification.
- Experience in multi-unit retail, restaurant, or specialty retail environments.
Compensation, Benefits, + PerksThe expected salary range for this role is $90,000-$110,000. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate's skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR's total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
