Full Job Description
Project Manager, Lending Technology

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who can bring structure, visibility, and momentum to complex technology initiatives across the CoreVest platform.

The Opportunity

As Project Manager, Lending Technology, you will lead the planning and delivery of a portfolio of business-critical technology initiatives. You will turn strategic priorities into practical, sequenced delivery plans; align demand with internal and vendor capacity; and manage projects from initial planning through launch, adoption, and operational transition.

This is a highly collaborative role that works across Product, Engineering, Data, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and external partners. You will help teams anticipate dependencies, resolve roadblocks, make informed tradeoffs, and maintain a clear view of scope, timing, resources, budget, and risk.

The ideal candidate combines strong project and program management fundamentals with an understanding of mortgage or real estate lending. You are comfortable moving between executive-level portfolio discussions and the day-to-day details required to keep delivery teams aligned and accountable.

What You'll Do

Shape the Roadmap
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to translate annual and multiyear priorities into an integrated roadmap of programs, projects, releases, and milestones.
  • Lead project intake and initiation by defining business outcomes, scope, success measures, assumptions, constraints, governance, and delivery approach.
  • Sequence initiatives based on business value, regulatory commitments, architecture dependencies, operational readiness, risk, and available capacity.
  • Develop scenarios and recommendations when priorities, funding, resources, or assumptions change.
  • Align project plans with product roadmaps and technology architecture while maintaining clear accountability for delivery.

Plan Capacity and Resources
  • Build rolling capacity plans using forecasted demand, team availability, delivery velocity, skill requirements, vendor commitments, and production-support needs.
  • Work with functional leaders to assign resources, address capacity or skill gaps, and manage competing priorities.
  • Facilitate quarterly and release planning, including what-if analysis and documented tradeoffs among scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk.
  • Develop and maintain project estimates, budgets, forecasts, and variance reporting.
  • Manage vendor statements of work, deliverables, invoices, service commitments, and change requests.
  • Coordinate resource transitions, onboarding, and knowledge transfer to support both delivery and ongoing operations.

Lead Complex Delivery
  • Own the project lifecycle from charter and planning through execution, release, operational transition, benefits review, and closeout.
  • Create and maintain integrated delivery plans, milestones, dependency maps, critical-path analysis, RAID logs, and decision logs.
  • Manage multiple concurrent and interdependent initiatives while controlling changes to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and delivery commitments.
  • Coordinate work across internal teams and third parties, including projects involving lending, finance, treasury, capital markets, trading, and enterprise platforms.
  • Remove impediments, clarify ownership, secure timely decisions, and escalate unresolved issues with clear options and impact analysis.
  • Incorporate architecture, data, security, compliance, testing, controls, and operational readiness into delivery plans.

Enable Agile and Hybrid Delivery
  • Apply agile, waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods based on the needs of each initiative.
  • Facilitate planning sessions, standups, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and other delivery forums.
  • Partner with Business Owners and Product Managers to translate requirements into actionable epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceable deliverables.
  • Support estimation, prioritization, backlog readiness, and shared definitions of ready and done.
  • Lead UAT planning, release coordination, cutover, contingency planning, training readiness, hypercare, and transition to support.

Drive Governance and Executive Visibility
  • Establish clear governance, decision rights, meeting cadence, stage gates, and escalation paths.
  • Prepare and lead steering committee and executive reviews covering milestones, spend, resources, dependencies, risks, decisions, and expected business outcomes.
  • Build alignment across Business, Product, Engineering, Data, Security, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Operations, and vendor stakeholders.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation of decisions, approvals, requirements, testing, releases, and control evidence.
  • Coordinate stakeholder communications, training, adoption, and organizational change activities.

Improve How We Deliver
  • Define and report meaningful delivery measures, including milestone performance, forecast accuracy, capacity utilization, cycle time, throughput, predictability, defects, budget variance, adoption, and benefit realization.
  • Create and maintain Jira, Confluence, and project-planning dashboards that give leaders a current and reliable view of the portfolio.
  • Use delivery data, retrospectives, and lessons learned to identify bottlenecks and improve execution.
  • Use approved AI and automation tools to streamline planning, documentation, risk identification, meeting summaries, status reporting, and knowledge management while protecting confidential information.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, finance, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Seven or more years of experience in technology project management, program management, agile delivery, or technical delivery leadership.
  • Experience within mortgage or real estate lending, including areas such as loan origination, whole-loan sales, warehouse lending, DSCR, bridge lending, or related operations.
  • Demonstrated success translating strategic roadmaps into executable delivery plans.
  • Experience managing multiple complex, cross-functional initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong capabilities in capacity planning, resource management, demand prioritization, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and vendor management.
  • Proven command of integrated schedules, dependency mapping, critical-path analysis, RAID management, change control, and executive reporting.
  • Experience delivering initiatives involving lending, financial systems, treasury, capital markets, trading, or enterprise finance platforms.
  • Working knowledge of agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting requirements development, testing, UAT, release management, cutover, and operational transition.
  • Advanced proficiency with Jira or a comparable work-management platform, including dashboards, workflows, reporting, and portfolio views.
  • Ability to define delivery KPIs, analyze performance trends, and translate data into clear decisions and corrective actions.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, written communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment with formal governance, audit, security, and change-management requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster, Professional Scrum Master, SAFe, or a comparable certification.
  • Familiarity with platforms and tools such as Workday Financials, FIS, TPG, Bloomberg, treasury workstations, reconciliation systems, or financial-control applications.
  • Technical understanding of APIs, integrations, data flows, and cloud or SaaS platforms.
  • Previous hands-on development or systems-configuration experience.
  • Experience leading third-party implementations and managing vendor contracts, statements of work, deliverables, and service commitments.
  • Exposure to SOX, SOC, audit readiness, organizational change management, and benefit-realization practices.
  • Experience using automation and approved AI tools to improve planning, analysis, reporting, and knowledge management.

What Success Looks Like
  • Strategic priorities are converted into realistic, sequenced plans that account for capacity, funding, dependencies, and risk.
  • Business and technology leaders have a dependable view of portfolio scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and decisions.
  • Capacity gaps, dependencies, and delivery risks are identified early and addressed with clear ownership.
  • Teams improve delivery predictability and throughput while leaders gain better visibility into the constraints affecting commitments.
  • Releases satisfy control and operational-readiness requirements while delivering measurable adoption and business results.
  • Dashboards, automation, and approved AI workflows reduce administrative work and help decision-makers act on current, reliable information.
