Job Summary

The Project Manager Technology plans, establishes, and manages technical projects to delivery while serving as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects. The Tech PM also aligns projects with needs and requirements, constructs detailed project plans, achieves milestones, and communicates project progress across the stakeholder audience. Must be highly responsive to constant priority changes and a results-oriented, natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment leading complex, cross functional, high-impact technology projects that support PPL's self-directed care initiative.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution
  • Develop and manage comprehensive, cross-functional project plans, defining project scope, goals, deliverables, resource requirements, and timelines to ensure successful execution from initiation through completion.
  • Direct multiple concurrent technology projects, tracking milestones, managing change requests, coordinating project activities, and ensuring deliverables align with organizational priorities, commitments, and technology standards.
  • Conduct project evaluations, document lessons learned, implement follow-up actions, and promote adherence to established project management methodologies and best practices.

Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Lead project teams through complex and evolving initiatives by creating structure, driving collaboration, building consensus, and providing clear direction in ambiguous situations.
  • Facilitate project meetings, communicate status updates, risks, challenges, and resolutions to stakeholders, while effectively engaging cross-functional teams and senior leadership to maintain project momentum.
  • Foster team success by onboarding and mentoring project managers, holding project resources and leadership accountable to project commitments, and strengthening collaboration across departments.

Risk Management & Operational Excellence
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and resource constraints while proactively developing solutions to maintain project schedules and business objectives.
  • Plan and optimize team capacity by allocating resources effectively, providing project guidance, and ensuring project teams meet deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Monitor operational performance and internal client requests, recommending process improvements and efficiency enhancements that support successful project delivery and continuous organizational improvement.

Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Information Systems, Project Management, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, professional certifications, and progressively responsible project management experience may be considered in lieu of a degree where applicable.

Compensation: $105,000-$110,000

This role is eligible for a base salary within the posted range. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation may vary for positions based in high cost-of-labor markets.
