What You'll Do
- Lead Projects That Matter: Take full technical responsibility for environmental projects - from concept through completion - within regulatory frameworks.
- Tackle Complex Challenges: Plan and develop projects focused on coal combustion residuals (CCR), solid/hazardous waste, groundwater, and more.
- Be the Go-To Expert: Serve as a liaison between clients, engineers, and geologists, providing trusted technical leadership and strategic insight.
- Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with technicians, scientists, CAD designers, and clients to solve unique environmental challenges.
- Drive Business Growth: Develop scopes, budgets, and schedules; lead client meetings; and identify/market new opportunities with current and future clients; and represent ACC through active participation in industry conferences and professional organizations.
What We're Looking For
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, engineering, or related field (required)
- Master's degree encouraged
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) in the state of practice
- Experience & Expertise:
- 10+ years in environmental consulting, with experience in site characterization, groundwater monitoring, remediation, and corrective action programs
- Strong background with GA EPD Rule 391-3-4 and EPA CCR Rule 40 CFR Part 257
- Skilled in hydrogeology, groundwater modeling, and data interpretation
- Proficiency in CAD, GIS, MODFLOW, or similar tools
- Excellent technical writing, project management, and communication skills

Work Environment & Travel
This role involves a mix of office and field work (landfills, industrial sites, undeveloped properties). Occasional travel within the U.S. (up to 10%) may be required. Must be comfortable with changing outdoor conditions and physically capable of fieldwork activities.
